The goal of the FECBOP goal is to promote the practice of the bilan de compétences and career guidance throughout life. Its mission is:

• Through the creation of the European network, represent all the centers bilan de compétences and career guidance with the European institutions, social and economic partners in the field of lifelong learning and career guidance.
• Assure the quality of the bilan de compétences and career guidance by awarding the quality label.
• Initiate research and studies, particularly in the context of the European lifelong learning strategies.
• Help the consolidation of the centres of career guidance within national networks.
• Develop an international cooperation for promoting the professionalism and the development of career guidance centers.
